We cordially invite you to attend the 2012 International Symposium on Fire Science and Engineering to be held on December 6th, 2012 in Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China. Following the success in organizing a fire safety conference in 2010, the School of Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University, co-organizing with the State Key Laboratory of Fire Science, University of Science and Technology, China, School of Civil Engineering, Wuhan University and School of Resources and Civil Engineering, Northeastern University to hold the 2012 conference.
 
The rapid urbanization and the construction of a huge number of complex buildings and infrastructures, the fire safety of the occupants and users is of prime importance. The 2012 International Symposium on Fire Science and Engineering aims at providing a platform for researchers and engineers to exchange the latest research results, advanced technologies or engineering experiences on Fire Science and Engineering, with focuses on the science of fire development and spread and on the means of fire safety protection for complex building structures.
