The Young Scholars Fire Forum (YSFF) is an annual academic conference initiated by the China Fire Protection Association and Zhengzhou University of Light Industry. It aims to unite young scholars engaged in fire safety research in China, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and promote China's fire science and fire protection engineering. YSFF has been highly recognized and actively participated by universities, research institutes, fire protection associations, fire brigades and academic journals in China, and has developed into an important academic activity in the field of fire science and fire protection engineering in China.

YSFF 2017 was successfully held in Nanning Guangxi on November 28, 2017. It was taken as one of the venues of 2017 Science and Technology Annual Meeting of CFPA. The papers accepted by YSFF 2017 will be published in the journal Fire Science and Technology, Bulletin of Science and Technology and Procedia Engineering. Five authors received excellent paper award certificates and bonuses.

YSFF 2018 will continue to host one of the venues of Science and Technology Annual Meeting of CFPA. Accepted papers will be published in the journal Fire Science and Technology, Fire Safety Science, Bulletin of Science and Technology, Fire Technology and Product Information, Journal of Chinese People's Armed Police Force Academy, Natural Science Edition of Journal of Sun Yat-sen University, Procedia Engineering, et al.

YSFF 2018 will set up "Young Scholars Fire Forum - HC Scholarship" to award full-time students (including doctoral students, master students and undergraduates) and to issue certificates and bonuses. A student will not be awarded the scholarship if he or she is not the first author of the accepted paper. "Young Scholars Fire Forum - HC Scholarship" is divided into five categories, first prize of 20,000 yuan, second prize of 10,000 yuan, third prize of 5,000 yuan, fourth prize of 2,000 yuan and fifth prize of 1,000 yuan.
