It is our great honour to welcome you to the 1st International Symposium on Lithium Battery Fire Safety, hosted by the State Key Laboratory of FireScience (SKLFS), University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).Nowadays, more and more researches are focused on the fire safety of lithium based battery, while no international conference is held in the past. This year, the first meeting will be held in Hefei, which focus on the following points related to the fire safety of lithium based battery: Thermal runaway mechanism of lithium based battery; Fire dynamics of lithium based battery; Explosive behavior of lithium based battery; Gases generation of lithium based battery during fire; Fire suppression of lithium based battery; Thermal management for lithium based battery; Material safety of lithium based battery; Fire safety assessment for lithium based battery.We are confident that the first meeting will contribute greatly to the developmentof the fire safety of lithium battery, and provide guidance on how to preventthe lithium battery fire.
