Modern optical manufacturing has been developed to a higher level with the goal of exceeding the existing manufacturing limits. Optical and optoelectronic components with extreme scales and under extreme environments are some of the forefronts in the optical manufacturing.
 
The 7th Asia Pacific Conference on Optics Manufacture (APCOM 2020) is designed to address interest and expertise of industrial, academic, and government organizations on how to overcome existing manufacturing limits, essential issues in design, manufacturing, measurement, extreme manufacturing approaches, and related topics. The 1st Asia Pacific Conference on Optics Manufacture (APCOM 2007) was held in Hong Kong, followed by Taipei, Changchun, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Hongkong again in 2019. The 7th APCOM in 2020 will be held in Chengdu.
