The Third Announcement of Symposium on Cetacean Research and Conservation across Taiwan Straits

“Symposium on Cetacean Research and Conservation across Taiwan Straits” will be held in Wuhan on 27 – 31 October 2008. In total, 55 abstracts have been accepted of 86 participants from mainland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and 38 abstracts will be presented as oral presentations, and 17 abstracts will be presented as posters on 28 – 29 October. Short field trip to Tian-e-Zhou Yangtze Cetacean Reserve, David’s Deer Reserve, Institute of Chinese Sturgeon, and the Three Gorges Dam will be organized on 30 – 31 October.

Oral presentation
The speaker please prepares a PowerPoint (PPT) presentation (15 minutes) for the symposium (with bilingual will be better). Computer and projection facilities will be available at the meeting room. You will be asked to copy the PPT file into an assigned computer of the symposium at the registration day (27 October). The speaker will have 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for comments and questions.
Poster presentation
The author please prepares a poster with a height of 120 cm and a width of 90 cm and at lease 2 pieces of A4-size copy of the poster. At registration day (27 October), the author please pasts the 120*90 cm poster into an assigned position, and leave the A4-size posters at the registration desk. Material and tools for attaching posters will be available. The poster presentation time is 15:00－15:50 on 28 October and 10:10－10:40 on 29 October. During the periods, authors please are beside posters for questions and comments. Authors please remove posters after 12:10 on 29 October.
