Call for Papers
The Chinese
Association of Psycholinguistics (CAP) is excited to announce that we will be
meeting in person for the 2022 CAP International Symposium! Organized by the
School of International Studies at Zhejiang University, the 6th CAP
International Symposium will be held Friday, June 10th – Sunday, June 12th at
the Zijinggang Campus of Zhejiang University, China. We will also move forward
with a virtual component for those who are unable to join us in Hangzhou. You
won’t want to miss this meeting where we can once again learn about and share
exciting developments in psycholinguistics while enjoying each other’s company.
Please note that all in-person
attendees will be required to show the health QR code and proof of vaccination
to attend.

1. Themes
Topics to be
discussed include (but are not limited to the following):
1) Paradigms and
methods of psycholinguistics
2) Phonological,
lexical, syntactic, and semantic processing
3) Bilingual comprehension,
representation, and production mechanisms
4) Cognitive
neuroscience on interpreting
5) Diagnosis and
intervention of language disorders
6) Language and
socio-cultural cognition
7) Language and cognitive
computing
8) Linguistics
and artificial intelligence

Language learning and teaching
2. Programs
The program of
this symposium is as follows
1)
Plenary session. Keynote speeches will be delivered by
distinguished scientists in psycholinguistics and related fields following the opening
ceremony and before the closing ceremony.
2)
Thematic panel. A series of paper presentations will
be conducted in 90-180-minute panel discussions focused on specific research
questions. Those who are interested in organizing such a panel, please submit
the panel name, abstract, and list of participants online or send them to the organizing
committee by March 15th
, 2022.
3)
Group oral presentation. Each invited speaker will give a
20-minute paper presentation on relevant topics.
3. Submission Guidelines
1)
Each author may submit only one abstract as the first
author, with no limit on corresponding authors.
2)
Abstracts can be submitted in Chinese (300-500
characters) or English (200-350 words) in the word document format. Please
refer to the paper submission template for specific formatting requirements.
3)
Please indicate in detail the author’s full name, institution,
email, and other relevant information in the abstract.
4. Procedure of
Submission and Acceptance
1)

2)
Registration with accurate personal information is
needed. After registering and logging in to the website, click ‘Abstract
Submission’.
3)
The deadline for submission is March 15th,
2022. Withdrawal and
resubmission are available before the deadline, yet resubmission will not be
possible after the deadline.
4)
The CAP will organize experts to review all the submitted
abstracts after the submission deadline, and invitations to the symposium will
be sent latest by April 15th, 2022.
5. Registration
Fees
Online
registration fees are 1000RMB (500RMB for graduate students), accommodation and
transportation are not included. On-site fees are 1200 RMB (600 RMB for
graduate students). If the symposium is changed to an online manner due to the regulations
for pandemic prevention and control, the registration fees will be further
notified. Participants with acceptance notification must complete the online
registration and payment before May 11th, 2022. The symposium manual
will be based on the online registration list.
