1.About the conference:

 

The 2022 International Conference on Mechanical Design,Materials and AutomationMDMA 2022) will be held on December 02-04, 2022 in Chongqing, China. The main goal of the conference is to promote research and development activities in the fields of Materials science , Automation and Mechanical Design. Another goal is to promote the exchange of scientific information among researchers, developers, engineers, students and practitioners around the world.Therefore, it promotes the development and application of theory and technology in this field in universities and enterprises, and also establishes business or research contacts for participants and seeks global partners in future careers.

 

2.Publication

Papers submitted to MDMA 2022
will be reviewed by technical committees of the conference.

All accepted full papers will be published in Conference Proceedings and will be submitted to EI Compendex , Scopus for indexing.

Prof. Bing Wang

Fuzhou University, China

Bing Wang, a Postdoctoral researcher from University of Cambridge, with a PhD from University of Hull.  He is now working at School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor.  He is also a High-level Oversea Talent in Fujian Province, a Doctoral Thesis Reviewer for the Degree Centre of the Ministry of Education, Committee Member forAdvanced Structural Materials, Life Member of Clare Hall Cambridge, Senior Member of both Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and Chinese Society for Composite Materials.  Bing is a Topic Editor and Guest Editor for Materials, Guest Editor for Advances in Mechanical Engineering, Youth Editor for Journal of Fuzhou University, and recognised peer-reviewer for more than twenty international journals.  His main research direction is focused on Smart Materials and Structures, Composite Mechanics, Non-destructive testing & Evaluation, as well as Deployable Structures.  



5.Keynote Speaker


Prof. Ruqiang Yan

Xi’an Jiaotong University

He has won the first prize of technological invention of Shaanxi Province (the first completer) in 2020, the first prize of Natural science of the Ministry of Education (the second completer) in 2020, the IEEE Instrument and Measurement Society Technical Award in 2019, and has authorized more than 20 invention patents from the United States, Canada, Mexico and China. Led the formulation of 1 IEEE international standard, published more than 100 journal papers in IEEE and ASME transactions, Mechanical Engineering Journal, Journal of Instrument and Instrumentation, etc. Currently, he is the Chairman of Signal and System Technical Committee of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Deputy Director-General and standing member of Equipment and Maintenance Engineering Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, director of Fault Diagnosis Professional Committee of China Vibration Engineering Society, Vice Chairman of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Member of the Management Board of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Editor-in-chief of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering and English Editorial Board of IEEE Sensors Journal Associate Editor.

 

 

Prof. Xiaodong Wu
Sichuan University

Dr. Xiaodong Wu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at Sichuan University. He obtained his bachelor's degree and doctor's degree from Sichuan University in Jun. 2014 and Dec. 2019. From Oct. 2017 to Jun. 2021, he worked as a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) at University of California, Berkeley. His research interests and fields focus on 1) flexible electronic materials, 2) flexible sensing technologies, 3) artificial electronic skin, 4) wearable healthcare and human-machine interfacing, and 5) bioinspired or biomimetic devices and systems. So far, he has published over 30 SCI papers in academic journals, including Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Electronic Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, etc., with more than 2000 citations (Google Scholar) and H-Index of 20. He also served as reviewers for many academic journals, such as Science Advances, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, and so on.


 

Prof. Vijay Kumar Thaku
SRUC, Scotland's Rural College

Professor in New Products from Biomass, Agriculture & Business Management, Biorefining and Advanced Materials Research Centre.Previously held faculty positions at Cranfield University UK, Washington State University USA, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and LHU–Taiwan. He did his Post-Doctoral study in Materials Science & Engineering at Iowa State University and received a PhD in Polymer Science (2009).

In his academic career, he has published more than 250 SCI journal research articles and holds one United States patent. Among these, 25 of his research papers have been highlighted as "Highly Cited Papers" in Web of Science (less than 1% of published papers receive this ranking) while 5 papers have been highlighted as "Hot Papers" (Hot papers are selected by virtue of being cited among the top one-tenth of one percent -0.1%) in a current bimonthly period in Web of Science). 

He has also published 50 books and 40 book chapters on the advanced state-of-the-art of polymer science/materials science/ biorefining/ nanotechnology. 

Vijay is an editorial board member of several international journals (including Nature Scientific Reports, Industrial Crops and Products, Surface and Interfaces, Nano-Structures & Nano-Objects, Polymers for Advanced Technologies) as well as a member of scientific bodies around the globe.  

He also sits on grant review panels for governmental agencies and educational institutions in the UK, USA, Germany, Poland, Austria, Singapore, Portugal, Chile, Cyprus, UAE, Kazakhstan, South Africa, and India.


 

A.Prof. Ziyong Hou

Chongqing University

Ziyong Hou, associate professor of Chongqing University, graduated from Tohoku University. He is a doctor and researcher of KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He has won the National Scholarship for graduate students, CSC project of "National Construction of High-level University Public Graduate Students", JSPS Fellowship of Japan. He served as the young editorial committee of authoritative journals of metal materials such as Journal of Iron and Steel Research, International, Chinese version of Journal of Iron and Steel Research, Tungsten, Rare Metal Materials and Engineering, etc. Acta Mater., Script Mater., Metall Mater Trans A, Mater.& Des., and other dozens of industry and field authoritative journal review experts, As the chief researcher, he has completed key fund and strategic fund projects supported by the Swedish Innovation Agency, the Swedish Iron and Steel Association, the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, and participated in many projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the United Iron and Steel Fund, etc. A series of joint research work has been carried out with Swedish steel companies such as SSAB, Uddeholm AB, carbide leader Sandvik, Swedish National Materials Laboratory SWERIM AB and Thermo-Calc AB.
