Dr. Wei Hou, chief physician,Director of Oncology Department of Guang’anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,supervisor of master degree candidate. He received his Bachelor degree in Chinese medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1988, and obtained Master degree from China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in 2006. Dr. Wei Hou joined the TCM department of Guang’anmen Hospital, CACMS in 1998. During Oct., 2002 to Oct., 2003, he was invited as the visiting professor of Chinese medicine department in Tung Shin Hospital of Malaysia. He has almost 13 years clinical experiments in the treatment and prevention of common cancer following the guidance of TCM theory. He is expert in chemotherapy, radiotherapy and biotherapy of malignant tumor. In 1999, he established the first radiation treatment room in Guang’anmen Hospital, and has achieved significant success on the radiotherapy for cancer patients with lung cancer, gastric cancer, colon and rectal cancer, brain and bone metastasis et al. Meanwhile Dr. Wei Hou has participated in several national projects and clinical trials of new drug. He has published many academic papers in Chinese core journals and edited three academic books. Also, he is the secretary of cancer committee of both the Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Society and the Chinese Anti-cancer Society, vice chairman of cancer committee Beijing branch of China Association of Chinese Medicine, member of radiation oncology committee of Beijing Medical Association.
