Dear
Friends and Colleagues,
It
is our great honor to invite you to the 7th congress of the Asia Pacific
Society for Medical Mycology (APSMM) to be held in Guangzhou, China this
November.
In
1997 when I was the core person of the International Society for Human and
Animal Mycology (ISHAM), we discussed with Prof. Unandar Budimulja of Jakarta
and Prof. Wang Duan-li of Beijing and then established the APSMM to promote
professional and social exchange among medical professionals in the
Asia-Pacific region who are interested in medical mycology.
Since
its first meeting in Bali, Indonesia, the APSMM has held a congress every three
year in the Asia-Pacific region.
Meanwhile, I organized the 17th Congress of ISHAM in Tokyo in 2009 and
at the same time Prof. Li Ruo-yu did its satellite symposia in Beijing.
And
now, Professor Li Ruo-yu, one of the founding directors of APSMM and its
current president, organized the 7th APSMM congress with the assistance of her
colleagues, professors Xi Li-yan and Ran Yu-ping. I personally look forward to hearing about
the latest research findings and intriguing case reports in medical mycology,
including those from the People’s Republic of China and many other countries in
Asia, Pacific and Oceania area. Fall in
Guangzhou is also exceptionally spectacular.
Please join us at the 7th APSMM congress—we look forward to seeing you
there!
