Meeting Venue

The 9^th International Conference on Waste Management and Technology will be held in Jingyi Hotel, Beijing, at 9:00 a.m. on 29^th October 2014. The conference continues for three days to 31^th October. Jingyi Hotel located in the center of Haidian District, next to the Dazhongsi Business Area on North Third Ring Road, and it is close to the Zhongguancun Technology Zone. The transportation is convenient.

Transit Direction

For your convenience, we recommend you to take a taxi. The estimated fees from the Beijing International Airport to Jingyi Hotel is around US$ 16 (CNY96).You need to pay it in RMB. The taxi drivers do not accept other currencies.

Registration and Registration Fee

Participants are suggested to register on line, which will end at 24:00 on October 15, 2014. After paying the fees, please upload the remittance receipt on the conference system and note the invoice title and mailing address if needed.

For the participants who need to submit registration fee on site, please prepare cash (RMB) equals to 500USD with current exchange rate at the day of payment and submit during onsite registration.

Onsite Registration

Participants also need to register on site. The registration will begin at October 28^st at Jingyi Hotel and we suggest you to register at October 28^th to avoid long time waiting. Every participant should wear the lanyard with the badge after registration during the whole conference period avoiding inconvenient.

Registration Fee Standard

Technical Visit

Participants who want to join the technical visit are supposed to choose one route in “Tours” in the conference system online before 20^th October, 2014. Because of time conflicts, a person could only choose one route.

Participants who want to join the technical visit please assemble at the lobby in Jingyi Hotel in Beijing at 13:00 on 28^th October, 2014. Please remember to bring the badge with you.

Conference Language

English is the conference language and simultaneous interpretation will be arranged at the Conference Plenary Session on 29^th Oct, and 31^st Oct, you can get the receiving equipment with valid ID at the conference entrance if needed. There are different branch sessions on the second day of 30^th October, the languages of which are all marked in agenda.

Oral Presentation

Participants who are supposed to give presentation could send PPT to the conference through e-mail before 15^th, October, 2014. Otherwise you could choose to make a copy at the register place one day before the presentation.

Poster Exhibition

Participants who are supposed to exhibit their poster should send the designed poster to the conference before 12^th October, 2014. We will put up them for exhibition during the conference. After the conference, participants could choose to take back as souvenirs.

Dinner/Lunch

During 29th to 31th October 2014, we offer a buffet for lunch, and a dinner on 29^th at the first-floor restaurant of Jingyi Hotel, and you can go there by showing meal coupon  which we will send to you in the badge.

Information about Beijing

October is the late autumn, the temperature is about 5 centigrade (min) to 18 centigrade (max).

Electricity

The power supply in China is mainly 220V/60Hz. The outlet has two or three holes indicated in the following photos. If you want to buy one in China, you can do so at a duty free shop at the airport.

Food

Chinese are famous for their cuisine. Chopsticks are the main table utensils in China. There are many kinds of food in China. They're Cantonese food, Sichuan food, Shanghai food, Hunan food and so on. Generally speaking, Cantonese food is a bit light, Sichuan food is very hot, Shanghai food is rather oily, and Hunan dishes are very spicy, having a strong and hot taste. Mapo Beancurd, steamed fish sweet and sour pork ribs, spring roll and many Chinese dishes are very delicious.
