| 会议背景介绍： | Right after the Olympic 2008, the GONDWANA 13 CONFERENCE will be held in Dali, Yunnan Province, China on 15-18 September 2008, followed by Field Trips on 19-22, 2008. The Conference will provide opportunities for scientists from around the world and a broad range of disciplines to exchange ideas and gain better understandings on various cutting edge geoscience issues. All interested geoscientists and partners are warmly welcome to China for the conference. | |
| 征文范围及要求： | Gondwana 13 Conference will be held in Dali, Yunnan Province, China. Research in the fields of geology, paleontology, mineral deposits and tectonic history of these and other Gondwanan elements, and related tectonic processes, will form the basis for the theme of the conference Sessions and symposia will be organised focusing on the following main topics: Reconstructions of supercontinents in Earth's history Roles of mantle plumes/superplumes in supercontinent evolution Orogenic processes along the Gondwanan and Pangean margins Changes in tectonic regimes in the Western Pacific margins since Gondwana breakup Deep structures of former Gondwanan continents/terranes Gondwana paleogeography and paleoclimate Gondwana basins Gondwana in Asia: bioprovince and geological studies Breakup of Rodinia and Snowball Earth: their affects on life evolution Mineral and petroleum systems related to the formation and breakup of Gondwana and Pangea, and the formation of Asia Please contact the Gondwana 13 Organising Committee to arrange joint events, including scientific sessions.
