The International Conference on Waste Management and Technology (ICWMT) is an important platform for specialists and officials to discuss scientific problems related to solid waste management, exchange experiences, and to look for innovative solutions. Initiated by Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific and approved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China, ICWMT has been held 11 times since its inception in 2005. On a yearly basis, ICWMT attracts a great number of participants from the governmental units, top research institutes, prestigious universities and industrial enterprises at home and abroad.

For the year 2018, the ICWMT 13 will be held in China from the 21^th to the 24^th of March. Themed with “Overall Control of Environmental Risks”, prominent researchers and government officials will be invited to give keynote speeches on the pressing issues of solid waste management during the conference. The ICWMT 13 provides an excellent chance for the participants from industry and academia to keep up-to-date with the latest trends of solid waste management.
