2017 International Consortium for Chinese Medicine and Cancer (ICCMC) Synposium
& 1st Academic Salon of Chinese Medicine and Cancer Internationalization will be
held on August 15-17, 2017 in Guangzhou. This symposium is co-hosted by
Guang'anmen Hospital of Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS),
Cancer Institute of CACMS, and Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative
Medicine of National Cancer Institute (OCCAM, NCI). We sincerely invite you to
attend the meeting to promote the overseas development of Chinese medicine and
together contribute to human health.
ICCMC is an international cooperation and exchange platform co-founded by
Guang'anmen Hospital of CACMS and OCCAM of NCI in 2015 and is joined by experts
and scholars from scientific research institutions, government and pharmaceutical
enterprises in the field of Chinese Medicine (CM) cancer research, aiming to promote
the scientization and internationalization of CM cancer research and amplify the
influence of CM as well as other traditional medicine on health promotion, which will
eventually benefit cancer patients from all over the world.
In November 2016, the first ICCMC meeting was held in Miami, USA. The meeting
declared and explained the specific contents of the consortium which were as
follows: 1. Enhance research cooperation; 2. Share training materials, and promote
education on CM and cancer; 3. Establish clinical guidelines; 4. Cultivate talents; 5.
Hold academic meetings regularly. Many international cooperation projects were
created on the platform of ICCMC. These projects, especially the ones of China-US
and China-Australia, are playing important roles in the overseas development of CM.
Adhering to the purpose of our consortium as always, we are inviting experts and
scholars who are active in frontline from various regions to exchange ideas about the
recent development of CM cancer research in the 2017 ICCMC synposium. Three
themes will be thoroughly discussed: 1.Education on CM and cancer; 2.Conduction of
high-quality clinical research; 3.Cultivation of advanced talents of CM research. We
shall do our best to plot new strategies for CM international development, expand
CM cooperation, and propel CM forward to the whole world.
Experts from home and abroad invited to the 2017 ICCMC symposium will be
enrolled as members of ICCMC. Looking forward to your attendance!
