2009, The 1st AFMD was held in Juzhaigou, China.
2011, The 2nd AFMD was held in Jeju, South Korea
2012, The 3rd AFMD was held in Changchun, China
2016, The 5th AFMD was held in Suzhou, China.
2017, The 6th AFMD took place in Moscow, Russia, followed later that year by the 7th AFMD in Havana, Cuba.
2018, The 8th AFMD was hosted in Leuven, Belgium.
2022, The 9th AFMD was held online.
2027, The 10th AFMD will be hosted in Athens, Greece.
