General Information

Visa 

   Visa application may be necessary for the participants from some certain country, based on the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of the Entry and Exit of Foreigner. We suggest that participants contact with the Embassy or Consulate to get instructions on visa regulations and application procedures. We will prepare all the necessary official documents for your Visa application, if you need. A valid passport is required for traveling to China.

 

Wi-Fi

    The free Wi-Fi will be available for all the participants.

 

Insurance

   You are requested to arrange your own health and travel insurance for your stay in Kunming.

    The insurance should cover all activities during your stay, e.g. social activities etc.

    The congress organizer is not responsible for any injuries or damages occurring during the congress nor during your stay in China.

 

Transportation

  Kunming has an extensive and reliable network of public transportation. It includes buses, trains and metro.

Voltage and plugs

    Electricity in China is 220-volt current.

 

Identity card

    Entrance to the conference area and to the various social events will be limited to Identity card holders only. You will collect your Identity card at the registration desk during the registration desks opening hours.

 

Banks, currency & credit card

    The currency in China is Chinese YUAN (CNY). Most hotels, shops accept all major credit cards. taxis do accept cash.           Automated cash machines, which you can use with your credit card, are available all over the city.

 

Tipping

  Service charges are always included in the bill and extra gratuities are not necessary, but appreciated.
