Celeste Yuet-Mui Yuen 
Associate Professor, Department of Education Policy and Leadership, The Hong Kong Institution of Education, Hongkong, China 
Biography
Celeste Y.M. Yuen is Associate Head and Associate Professor in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership, the Hong Kong Institute of Education. She began her career as a teacher and has served as a manager and supervisor in both primary and secondary schools. She was a visiting scholar at the UCL-Institute of Education, England and Guangzhou Teacher Institute, China. She lectures in effective educational leadership, diversity, special education and intercultural sensitivity. She has authored and coordinated related courses. Her research areas include curriculum, citizenship, subjective well-being, spiritual health and student engagement with school and society. After earning her doctorate from the Institute of Education, University of London, she has been actively engaged in researching Chinese immigrant and South Asian minority education and policy in Hong Kong. She has led more than 18 research projects funded by the Education Bureau (Hong Kong), HSBC, Oxfam Hong Kong, the Research Grants Council of Hong Kong and the Institute of Hong Kong. Her research findings have attracted much media attention and contributed to public policy debates. She has published in various journals, including Journal of Youth Studies, Teaching and Teacher Education, Compare, Intercultural Education and Pacific-Asian Education (PAE) Journal.

Main research directions: maternal and child nutrition and health behavior 
Research grants: PI of 26 grants (National Natural Science Foundation of China, ,the China Association for Science and Technology, the China Association of Community Health, the Chinese Medical Association Fund, The China's KFC restaurant health fund Chongqing Social Sciences Federation science grants, the first institutions of higher learning young teachers funded grants in Chongqing, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission humanities subjects, Key project from Chongqing PE Commission , soft science in Yuzhong District in Chongqing, one soft subject and two science grants of Shapingba District in Chongqing, 2 grants from the Chinese Nutrition Society, Humanities and Social Science Fund of Ministry of Education, Chongqing Foreign Expert Bureau Engineering Plans

Presided over four horizontal cooperation grants (Global Fund, the cooperation grant of the University of Liverpool (Chongqing Medical University evidence-based medical research center), the cooperation grant of the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese Center for Disease Control (Chongqing health education cooperation grants). Co-principal investigator as four main researches of international cooperation grants of 7 national issues (863 grants, Technology Support Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education Humanities, research grants, etc.); Co-principal investigator in more than 20 other grants.
