About the conference:

2022 International Conference on Biomedical and Intelligent Systems (IC-BIS 2022) will be held during June 24-26, 2022 in Chengdu, China. It is a comprehensive conference which focuses on Biomedical Engineering and Artificial Intelligent Systems. The main objective of IC-BIS 2022 is to address and deliberate on the latest technical status and recent trends in the research and applications of Biomedical Engineering and Bioinformatics. IC-BIS 2022 provides an opportunity for the scientists, engineers, industrialists, scholars and other professionals from all over the world to interact and exchange their new ideas and research outcomes in related fields and develop possible chances for future collaboration. The conference also aims at motivating the next generation of researchers to promote their interests in Biomedical Engineering and Artificial Intelligent Systems.

AHMED EL-HASHASH

Associate Professor & Senior Principal Investigator , Zhejiang University

Experience:

Professor Ahmed Hashash has completed his PhD from Manchester University, UK. He is a fellow of the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) and New York University Medical School (MSSM), USA. Prof. Ahmed Hashash worked as a senior biomedical research scientist at Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He was Assistant Professor and Principal Investigator of Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine at Keck School of Medicine and Ostrow School of Dentistry of The University of Southern California, USA. In 2016, Prof. Hashash has joined The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Medical School-Zhejiang International Campus, (ZJU) as Tenure-Track Associate Professor and Senior Principal Investigator  of Biomedicine, Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine. He is also adjunct Professor at the School of Basic Medical Science and School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. Prof. Hashash has several breakthrough discoveries in genes/enzymes that control stem cell behavior and regenerative medicine. He has published more than 25 papers in reputed international journals and serving

as an editorial board member of repute. Prof. El-Hashash acts as a discussion leader at the prestigious Gordon Research Seminar/Conference in USA, and a Peer Reviewer/ International Extramural Review for The Medical Research Council (MRC) grant applications, London, UK. He is invited to speak at several international conferences in USA, Spain, Greece, Egypt and China. He is the editor or author of several books on stem cell and regenerative medicine.

Prof. Alexzander A. A. Asea

Research Description: The focus of Professor Asea’s laboratory is in understanding the immunobiology of heat shock proteins (HSP) using a proteogenomics approach and harnessing this knowledge for the development of potent immunotherapeutics against a number of human diseases and disorders.

Prof. Junfeng Shi

School of Biomedical Sciences, Hunan University, China

Title: Peptide self-assembly: from biomaterials to peptide drugs

Experience:

Junfeng Shi, obtained his BS degree in chemistry from Xiangtan University, followed a MS degree from Sun Yat-sen University. And then, he went to America to pursue a doctorate in Bing Xu’s group of Brandeis University in 2009. In 2015, he joined NCI (part of NIH) as a postdoctoral fellow. Junfeng Shi became a full professor in 2019 at Hunan University with a title of Yuelu scholar. His study focuses on 1) peptide biomaterials; 2) cell penetration peptides; 3) research and development of peptide drugs. He has published 64 papers, applied for 1 US patent and 3 Chinese patents, and co-authored 1 chapter in a book. His research have been reported many times by C&EN in the United States, with a total of 4300 citations. He was invited to give lectures and invited lectures at international conferences, such as the Annual Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Annual Meeting of the International Materials Society (MRS), and the China International Peptide Conference (CPS). At present, he is in charge of 2 NSFC grands and 2 grants from Hunan natural science foundation. He was selected as "Huxiang High-level Talent Gathering Project" in 2019, and "Huxiang Talents" and "Furong Scholar Award Program" in 2020.
