Professor Sos S. Agaian,  City University of New York (CUNY), USA

Sos Agaian is a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the Graduate Center/CSI, CUNY.  Dr. Agaian was a Peter T. Flawn Professor of the University of Texas at San Antonio. His research interests include computationalvision and machine learning, large-scale data analytics, multimodal data fusion, urban computing, biologically-inspired signal/image processing modeling, multimodal biometric and digital forensics, 3D imaging sensors and security, and biomedical and healthinformatics. He has authored over 750 peer-reviewed research papers, ten books, and 19 edited proceedings. Dr. Agaian holds over 52 American and foreign issued or pending patents/disclosures. Several of Agaian’s IP is commercially licensed. He is a fellowof IS&T, SPIE, AAAS, and IEEE.  He received MAEStro Educator of the Year, sponsored by the Society of Mexican American Engineers and the Distinguished Research Award at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is the recipient of the Innovator of the YearAward (2014), of the Tech Flash Titans-Top Researcher-Award (San Antonio Business Journal, 2014), the Entrepreneurship Award (UTSA-2013 and 2016), and the Excellence in Teaching Award (2015). He is an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Pattern Recognitionand Image Analysis and an Associate Editor for several journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, International Journal of Digital MultimediaBroadcasting (both Hindawi Publishing Corporation) and Journal of Electronic Imaging (SPIE, IS&T).

Professor Hao Ying, Wayne State University, USA

Dr. Hao Ying is a Professor with the Departmentof Electrical and Computer Engineering, Wayne State University,Detroit, Michigan, USA. He has published two fuzzy controlbooks, over 120 journal papers, and more than 160 conferencepapers. He is ranked among the top 23,000 most-cited authorsacross all 22 scientific fields (176 subfields) selected fromover 6.8 million scientists worldwide. He is an IEEE Fellow. 

He is serving as an Associate Editor or a Memberof Editorial Board for 9 international journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems. Heserved in the same role in the past for 7 other internationaljournals, including the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems. Heserved as a Member of the 2020 Fellow Evaluation Committee ofboth the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the IEEESystems, Man, and Cybernetics Society (for which he served in2016 and 2017 as well). He served as a Member of the Fuzzy Systems Technical Committee of the IEEE ComputationalIntelligence Society since 2008 (except 2014). He was elected toserve as a board member of the North American Fuzzy InformationProcessing Society for two terms (2005-2008 and 2008-2011). Heserved as Program Chair/Co-Chair for 4 international conferencesand as Program/Technical Committee Member for over 110 international conferences.

Professor Hamid Reza Karimi, Politecnico di Milano, Italy

Hamid Reza Karimi is currently Professor of Applied Mechanics with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. From 2009-2016, he has been Full Professor of Mechatronics-Control Systems at University of Agder, Norway. His current research interests include control systems and mechatronics with applications to automotive control systems, robotics, vibration systems and wind energy. Prof. Karimi is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cyber-Physical Systems, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Machines, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Aerospace System Science and Engineering, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Designs, Section Editor-in-Chief of the IET Journal of Electronics Letters, Section Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Electronics, Section Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Science Progress, Subject Editor for Journal of The Franklin Institute and a Technical Editor, Moderator for IEEE TechRxiv or Associate Editor for some international journals, for instance, the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, the IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems-I: Regular Papers, the IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Systems Journal, Information Sciences, IFAC-Mechatronics, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control. Prof. Karimi has been awarded as the 2016-2020 Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering, the 2020 IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Guillemin-Cauer Best Paper Award, 2015 August-Wilhelm-Scheer Visiting Professorship Award, 2014 JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Research Award, and 2006 Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung research Award, for instance.

Professor Huiyu Zhou, School of Informatics, University of Leicester, UK

Dr. Huiyu Zhou received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Radio Technology from Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China, and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Dundee of United Kingdom, respectively. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Vision from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Zhou currently is a Professor at School of Informatics, University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers in the field. He was the recipient of "CVIU 2012 Most Cited Paper Award", “MIUA 2020 Best Paper Award”, “ICPRAM 2016 Best Paper Award” and was nominated for “ICPRAM 2017 Best Student Paper Award” and "MBEC 2006 Nightingale Prize". Dr. Zhou serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Recent Advances in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Associate Editor of "IEEE Transaction on Human-Machine Systems" and “IEEE Access”, and Area Chair of IJCAI and BMVC. He is one of the Technical Committee of “IEEE Cognitive and Development Systems”, “Information Assurance & Intelligent Multimedia-Mobile Communication in IEEE SMC Society”, “Robotics Task Force” and “Biometrics Task Force” of the Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He has given over 90 invited talks at international conferences, industry and universities, and has served as a chair for 60 international conferences and workshops. His research work has been or is being supported by UK EPSRC, MRC, EU, Royal Society, Leverhulme Trust, Puffin Trust, Alzheimer’s Research UK, Invest NI and industry.

Associate Professor Erdal Kayacan, School of Informatics, Aarhus University Denmark

Erdal Kayacan received a Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronic engineering at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2011. After finishing his post-doctoral research in KU Leuven at the division of mechatronics, biostatistics and sensors (MeBioS) in 2014,he worked in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering as an assistant professor for four years. Currently, he is pursuing his research at Aarhus University at the Department of Engineering as an associateprofessor. 

He has since published more than 110 peer-refereed book chapters, journal and conference papers in model-based and model-free control, parameter and state estimation, and their robotics applications. He has completed a number of research projects which havefocused on the design and development of ground and aerial robotic systems, vision-based control techniques and artificial intelligence. Dr. Kayacan is co-writer of a course book “Fuzzy Neural Networks for Real Time Control Applications, 1st Edition Concepts,Modeling and Algorithms for Fast Learning”. He is a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Since 1st Jan 2017, he is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics.
