Instructions For Oral Presentations
- Prepare your presentation well in advance: Make sure to practice your presentation multiple times before the actual event to make sure it runs smoothly.
- Time Management: Make sure to stick to the allotted time slot for your presentation. It is recommended to have a backup plan in case you need to reduce the length of your presentation.
- Audio-Visual Equipment: Check with the conference organizers in advance about the type of equipment and any necessary cables you might need for your presentation.
- Presentation format: The conference organizers might have specific guidelines regarding the format of your presentation (e.g., PowerPoint or PDF). Make sure to follow them.
- Content: Emphasize key points and make sure to engage the audience with interactive elements such as slides, images, and animations.
- Dress code:: Dress appropriately for the occasion. Avoid wearing distracting clothing or accessories.
Instructions For Poster Presentations:
- Design: Make sure to design your poster with clear and concise information. Use headings, subheadings, and bullet points to make it easily readable.
- Size: Adhere to the size guidelines provided by the conference organizers.
- Content:Highlight the key findings and conclusions of your research. Make sure to include the introduction, methodology, results, and conclusion sections.
- Visual aids: Use graphics, images, and charts to make your poster more appealing and engaging to the audience.
- Rehearse:Prepare a short presentation to accompany your poster. Rehearse it several times to make sure you are comfortable with the content and delivery.
Instructions For Virtual Presentations:
- Technical requirements: Make sure to have a stable internet connection and a device with a webcam and microphone to participate in the virtual presentation.
- Time management: Be on time for the virtual presentation and make sure to stick to the allotted time slot.
- Background:Choose a neutral and professional background for your virtual presentation.
- Lighting: Make sure the lighting in the room is sufficient to clearly see your face and any visual aids you might use during the presentation.
