会议背景介绍： In the past decade, Digital Manufacturing Science and Technology got very high speed developments. It has not only provided industries with new methods, new tools and new digitalized products from design, material processing to operation and management process, but also is changing the manners, thinking styles and working environments of people in the manufacturing field. Digital Manufacturing has brought remarkable and fundamental progresses to manufacturing industries and the related researches.
  Because of the rapid speed developments, it is crucial that academic researchers and Engineers, research institutions and industrial organizations can communicate each other more frequently and more tightly. As a result of these request, the series International Conference on e-Engineering and Digital Enterprise Technology has been originated and held 6 times in Xi’an(2001), Beijing (2002), Hangzhou (2003), Leeds(2004), Guiyang(2006) and Harbin(2007) respectively. Each conference of this series attracted hundreds of scholars, researchers, engineers and managers from all over the world, and contributed greatly to research institutions and industrial organizations. Now this series conference has become one of the most important international meetings that brings and links academicians and researchers from research institutions together with Engineers and Managers from industries to share the new experience and new achievements in digital manufacturing areas.
  On the decision of the organization committee, the 7th Int. Conf. on e-ENGDET will be held in Shenyang, during September 3-5, 2009, organized by Northeastern University. The aim of this conference is to promote the exchange of information and co-operation between experts and managers in the fields of Digital Manufacturing. The conference will cover new developments and applications of Digital Manufacturing Science and Technology from design, material processing to operation and management process.
  It is our hope that all participants will enjoy this conference, that they get an overview about the current trends in this field and that they might acquire new ideas for solving their current tasks and problems. In addition, this conference will be an ideal opportunity to meet colleagues or fiends from the field of digital manufacturing.

征文范围及要求： The 7th International Conference on e-Engineering & Digital Enterprise Technology (e-ENGDET 2009) will be held in in Shenyang, during September 3-5, 2009.
