会议背景介绍：

    The International Phytotechnology Society is a non profit,worldwide professional society comprised of individuals and institutions engaged in the science and application of using plants to remedy environmental problems.Planted systems can degrade organic pollutants and extrac heavy metals.Plants can restore impacted ecosystems,provide alternative fuel,sequester carbon and improve air quality and environmental impacts.
    This conference follows on from the highly successful 4th International Phytotechnologies Conference held in Denver,Colorado in September 2007.
    The 5th conference is an opportunity to further explore and understand emerging technologies and issues relating to the use of plants to address environmental challenges.Industry,regulators,scientists,students,engineers,private and pubilc sectors have the opportunity to prsent recent research findings and exchang information regarding the use of plants,plant matter or planted systems to deal with environmental challenges,with the aim to understand how best to integrate research science and field application.
