Dr. Libin Jia joined Office of Cancer Complementary and Alternative Medicine (OCCAM) of National Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2005 as a Scientific Program Manager. In this position, he helps establish research collaborations, most recently in the area of anti-cancer Chinese Medicine (both compounds and natural products), and serves as a liaison between the collaborative parties (intramural, extramural and international) and OCCAM. Previously, Dr. Libin Jia was a Scientific Project Director in the NCI Office of Cancer Genomics. He participated in the Cancer Genome Anatomy Project, Mammalian Gene Collection, and the H-Invitational, which is an international human genome annotation project. He also joined the project officer team for the Molecular Library Screening Centers Networks of the National Institutes of Health’s Road Map, managing compounds screening projects. Dr. Libin Jia graduated from Shanghai Medical University II with his M.D. in 1988 and did his post - doctoral study on cancer biology at University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
