会议简介
The 2026 ICBSMES Symposium on Urban Renewal, Architectural Heritage and Spatial Design (ICBSMES-URAHSD 2026) is a specialized academic forum organized under the 2026 International Conference on Building Science, Materials Engineering and Sustainability (ICBSMES 2026). The symposium will take place on December 30, 2026, at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
ICBSMES-URAHSD 2026 provides an interdisciplinary platform for architects, urban planners, heritage specialists, landscape designers, researchers, industry professionals and postgraduate students to present original research and exchange perspectives on the renewal, conservation and sustainable transformation of cities and built environments.
The symposium welcomes theoretical, historical, empirical and design-based research addressing the relationships among urban renewal, architectural heritage, spatial organization, community development and environmental sustainability. Particular attention is given to approaches that balance contemporary urban needs with the conservation of cultural identity and historic environments.
Key areas include adaptive reuse, heritage conservation, urban regeneration, spatial planning, public-space design, landscape transformation, community participation, digital heritage, resilient cities and sustainable architectural design.
Through academic presentations and interdisciplinary discussion, the symposium aims to strengthen cooperation among universities, professional institutions, local communities and industry, promote responsible approaches to urban transformation, and contribute to inclusive, resilient and culturally sensitive built environments.

Following publication, eligible papers will be submitted to the Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), Google Scholar, CNKI and other relevant academic databases for consideration for indexing. Bibliographic metadata for the published papers will also be registered and deposited with Crossref.
