会议背景介绍：

    近年来，我国造纸工业飞速发展，其成绩令世人瞩目。中国造纸业市场存在的巨大发展潜力吸引着国际先进技术和资本向中国转移，同时也给中国造纸工业提供了更大的发展机遇。新的造纸技术和信息令人目不暇接，如何及时了解和掌握制浆造纸国际前沿领域的科技发展动态、促进国际间的学术交流与合作，显得尤其重要。
    天津科技大学是国内少数几所拥有制浆造纸工程学科博士学位授权点的高等院校之一，2004年5月成功举办了“首届造纸与环境国际会议”，来自美国、加拿大、芬兰、澳大利亚、巴西、日本、韩国等十多个国家的200多名代表参加了会议，在众多方面取得了良好的成效。
    为了进一步加强与世界造纸发达国家间的学术交流与合作，促进工业界的积极参与，2004年“第一届造纸与环境国际会议”领导小组决议于2008年5月14-16日在天津科技大学召开“第二届造纸与环境国际会议”。

征文范围及要求：

会议论文主题:
1 植物纤维化学、纤维原料的基因工程；
2 生物质转化与利用、生物制浆；
3 新型环境友好化学制浆技术、化学机械制浆技术、二次纤维回收利用技术；
4 纸浆漂白、生物漂白、造纸等新技术；
5 造纸化学品及湿部化学方面的新进展；
6 涂布及印刷新技术；
7 废水处理及废物利用新技术；
8 制浆造纸工业的环境保护问题。
征文要求
    有意于投稿者请在2007年9月30日以前将题目、作者、以及篇幅约为200-300单词的英文文摘用电子邮件发到大会秘书处。论文摘要经过大会学术委员会成员的公正评选，将于2007年10月31日左右通知是否被初步录用。接到通知后请再于2008年1月31日之前递交论文原稿，经学术委员会再次评选后确定论文为口头发表或墙报发表，备稿要求与样本将另行通知并送达每位作者。原则上会议仅收录作者或共同作者能亲自到场进行发表的论文。
