| 会议背景介绍： | We cordially invite you to attend the 2008 International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC 2008) to be held on September 15–18, 2008 in Shanghai, China. The conference will be organized by Center for International Scientific Exchanges Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai University, Institute of Intelligent Machines, University of Science & Technology of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and the International Neural Network Society, and financially supported by the National Science Foundation of China. The theme for this conference is Advanced Intelligent Computing Technology and Methodology as well as Applications. Only original high quality papers related to this theme are especially solicited, including theories, methodologies, and applications in science and technology. Topics covering industrial issues/applications and academic research into intelligent computing will be welcome. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag, including Lecture Notes in Computer Sciences (LNCS)/Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI)/Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics (LNBI)/ Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS). And a small number of selected high-quality papers will be extended for possible inclusion in several main-stream international journals. All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts in the field based on originality, significance and clarity, only papers presenting novel research results or successful innovative applications are seriously considered for publication. | |
| 征文范围及要求： | ICIC 2008 is organized by Center for International Scientific Exchanges, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai University, Institute of Intelligent Machines, University of Science & Technology of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and technically co-sponsored by the International Neural Network Society , as well as Life System Modeling and Simulation Special Interest Committee, Chinese Association for System Simulation, China, and financially supported by the National Science Foundation of China. This is the Forth International Conference on Intelligent Computing, which is built upon the success of ICIC’05, ICIC’06 and ICIC’07 held in Hefei, Kunming and Qingdao, China, respectively. The intelligent computing annual conference primarily aims to promote the research, development and application of advanced intelligent computing techniques by providing a vibrant and effective forum across a variety of disciplines. This conference has a further aim of increasing the awareness of industry of advanced intelligent computing techniques and the economic benefits that can be gained by implementing them. The intelligent computing technology includes a range of techniques such as Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Evolutionary Computing, Informatics Theories and Applications, Computational Neuroscience & Bioscience , Soft Computing, Human Computer Interface Issues, etc. ICIC theme unifies the picture of contemporary intelligent computing techniques as an integral concept that highlights the trends in advanced computational intelligence and bridges theoretical research with applications. Therefore, the theme for this conference is Advanced Intelligent Computing Methodologies and Applications. Papers related to this theme are especially solicited, including theories, methodologies, and applications in science and technology. And a small number of selected high-quality papers will be extended for possible inclusion in several main-stream international journals. Fees, if any, for such Journal publications, will have to be borne by the authors. Manuscripts should be written in English with a single-column, single-space format. Each newly submitted paper should be not shorter than six pages including figures and references. The format for submitted papers should refer to the ELECTRONIC FORMAT REQUIREMENTS of the Springer-Verlag. Authors should submit their papers to the ICIC2008 by the On-Line Electronic Submitting System Important Deadlines Paper submission: April 10, 2008 Decision notification: May 31, 2008 Special session proposal: March 15, 2008 Tutorial proposal: March 15, 2008 Camera-ready submission: June 15, 2008 Registration: June 10, 2008 Conference : September 15-18, 2008 SPECIAL SESSIONS The ICIC 2008 Program Committee is inviting proposals for special sessions. All planned papers for special sessions will undergo the same review process as the ones in regular sessions.
