Welcome to Environmental Chemistry Letters, a prestigious scientific journal that bridges the gap between chemistry and the environment. - Aquatic chemistry: biogeochemical cycles of nutrients, trace metals, and organic matter in rivers, lakes, and oceans; contamination and remediation of water resources; impacts of climate change and land use on water quality.
- Soil chemistry: fate and transport of contaminants in soils and sediments; transformations of natural and anthropogenic organic matter; relations between soil chemistry and ecosystem functions.
- Analytical chemistry: development and application of novel analytical methods for environmental monitoring and characterization; speciation analysis and chemical imaging; field and laboratory measurements.
- Environmental nanotechnology: synthesis and characterization of engineered nanomaterials for environmental applications; fate and impacts of nanomaterials in natural and engineered systems.
- Environmental sustainability: life-cycle assessment, eco-design, and circular economy approaches to reduce the environmental impacts of industrial processes, products, and services.
